The tiles and tile murals in this gallery have been reproduced from original watercolors by noted Vermont artist, Richard Gross. An accomplished artist, Richard works exclusively in watercolors; he feels this is the medium most challenging as well as the most rewarding. His delicate use of color and tonal gradations portrayed in his still lifes and landscapes visibly demonstrates his artistic precision and mastery of the color palette. Richard's meticulous attention to subtle detail transcends the boundary between art and realism. His works reveal an accomplished understanding of the variations and transitions between light and dark; highlights in his paintings are rendered with delicious, intricate detail — he brings shadows to life. Richard's works on tile will compliment any decor and setting. Many of Richard's commissioned works are in corporate and private collections.
